About the Event
Chef Ed Metcalfe has owned several popular sushi restaurants. Â He decided to turn his passion into teaching. Â Â I believe there is no better way to connect with your family than through food and creating memories. Â This class is perfect to keep the kids off electronic devices, engaged, and learning a new skill.Â
 Your culinary journey concludes with Chef Ed Metcalfe and his team from Sushimotos. Learn and excel in creating a Sushi Roll that will make our mouths water. .
The run time of our classes is 1hr -1.5 hours. This involves learning how to make sushi rice, dashi stock & miso soup. The chef reviews the basics of Japanese ingredients. Where to source these ingredients and a recipe guide. The day starts with Miso soup and our chef does the instructions & example rolling while guests enjoy the soup.2 people per station. These 2 will take turns making their rolls. Students make 2 full rolls, either a rainbow roll, a California roll, or a spicy tuna roll. They will also learn how to make a hand roll or a Futomaki roll. They get to choose which they want to make. Veggie options are available.  Knife Waiver – This needs to be signed before class starts.
